Antique French Flatware Leg of Lamb Ham Bone Holder
This is a piece of serving ware that was used to hold the leg of ham for carving.
It measures approximately 8 3/8" in length and weighs 4.157 oz. (116.4 grams).
The utensil appears to be chrome and silver plated with a celluloid handle, displaying areas of rust and a slim, stabilized crack in the celluloid handle.
Most likely of French or Belgium origin, circa 1880.

It is certainly a nicely aged antique piece of serving ware with an extraordinary provenance that is much nicer than our photographer has been able to depict.
